the gym had equipment, i suppose. it certainly wasn't empty.
check-in was a bit of a laugh they claimed to give me an upgrade, but i'm not sure what was supposed to be so amazing. the shower didn't drain properly and flooded the floor, nice. the small double beds reminded me of a joke considering what i paid.

Surprise Staycation Success

I arranged a surprise for my partner requesting the staff place gifts in our room before arrival. I appreciate that the gifts were present when we entered. The room was close to everything downtown. Staff members were very helpful and kind.
The shower did not drain properly and flooded the floor. I noticed small double beds instead of queen or king beds. It was difficult to get into any of the food establishments because they were fully booked.

Check-in was simple and efficient so I received an upgrade. I am grateful staff let us check in early because our cruise ship arrived in the morning. The breakfast had signs by the hot food items.

The location was central. The Sky Tower and the All Blacks museum were nearby. The bay area and Queen Street were also within walking distance. The hotel has a pool with a sauna and a hot tub. I used these facilities several times .
My room felt a little grungy. I noticed a stale smell upon entering.
